Clinical features of autoaggressive behavior in adolescents

Abstract

The 83 girls adolescents at 13 to 15 age with autoaggressive behavior and emotion disorders were researched which verificated in diagnosis “the mixed disorder of the behavior and emotion” F92 of the ICD-10. As a result of the study, the main forms of autoaggressive behavior were identified: demonstrative blackmail in adolescents with hysteroid and hyperthymic character traits that require attention from parents, with manipulative ways of interacting with loved ones, the level of depression corresponded to mild (52 points) or moderate (61 points), the cuts were superficial in the forearm area. True suicidal attempt was noted in adolescents with schizoid, sensitive and epileptoid character traits, the level of depression corresponded to moderate (65 points) and severe (71 points), the cuts were deep in the shoulder and thighs. The help was provided in a hospital setting with complex psychopharmacotherapy and psychological methods, followed by recommendations for further outpatient treatment.
